Peabody’s rustic Smith Barn was the perfect setting for Jamie and Chris’s garden ceremony. The weather was sunny with low humidity, just perfect for weddings, musicians, and our environmentally-sensitive instruments!
Wedding planner Ana Stefanovich was great to work with. She left our seating placement up to us, always helpful since we need to be able to see the bridal party and bride as they walk down the aisle. Guests always stand up when the bride enters so, if we’re seated down front, it’s hard to see what’s going on. If we’re in the back, we can’t see when she arrives in front to meet her groom; it becomes a guessing game when to stop the music.
Jamie and Chris’s processionals were “One Hand, One Heart” from “West Side Story” and “Bridal Chorus” (Here Comes The Bride). “Alla Hornpipe” from The Water Music was the recessional. We played old jazz standards during cocktail hour.
