Wintergarden, which is part of the Seaport Hotel complex, is a beautiful, open and bright space for wedding ceremonies. It’s across the street from the hotel entrance, so easily accessed by your guests. I particularly like the spiral staircase from which the bride or groom can make a spectacular “walk down the aisle”.
We had a great time working with wedding planners Edna Dratch-Parker and Kasie Blanchette at Allie and Will’s wedding. Seaport Hotel coordinator Alicia Lapriore was also a big help.
Allie chose Bach “Air” for the bridal party and “Debbie” from Wonderland by Michael Nyman for her entrance. This was a Jewish ceremony so the Rabbi sang with accompaniment. The Beatles “All You Need Is Love” was the recessional.
Cocktail hour was mostly old jazz standards and contemporary popular songs from our extensive repertoire list. The bride and groom are both doctors with crazy schedules so I made sure I was easy to reach when they had time to talk.
