Saint Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Chatham is a modern, air-conditioned space. I mention the air-conditioning because, the weather on Cape Cod can often be hot and humid. Some of the older churches have only fans and that don’t help much on those miserable days.
But the air-conditioning isn’t the only attraction at St. Christopher’s. The always wonderful Brian McGurk officiates, so your ceremony is really special.
Allison and Jeb chose Vangelis’ Hymne for the mothers’ entrances. We played Bach Air for the seven bridesmaids while the bride walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
Our string trio also played for cocktail hour at the beautiful Chatham Bars Inn. We sat on the deck overlooking the beach and ocean. Guests milled about on the lawn and inside the boathouse. We played a mix of light classical, old jazz standards, popular songs and Broadway tunes. It provided an upbeat start to the celebration.
