Sarah and Brendan were married on the lawn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. We enjoy playing there, especially when the cows are out on the opposite hillside. Sometimes they serenade us during the ceremony!
Emmy Whitney of Whitney Events was a big help to our string quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour on the deck.
The bride and groom wanted a mix of contemporary popular songs and several traditional classical pieces during the prelude (Yellow, Marry Me, God Only Knows, You’re My Best Friend, Here Comes the Sun, All You Need Is Love, Marry You, All of Me, Vangelis Hymne, Bach’s Arioso, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Air and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy.)
The processionals were “Can You Feel the Love”, “A Thousand Years” and “Canon in D”. “I’m Yours” was the recessional. Cocktail hour included more songs from Broadway musicals and contemporary popular selections.
