Last Saturday’s wedding was at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester.
It’s a very popular wedding venue in central Massachusetts and Emily, the event coordinator, is great to work with. Our violin/cello duo played mostly popular tunes that were favorites of the bride and groom.
The processional tunes were “Moon River” and “Georgia On My Mind”. The recessional was “Over The Rainbow”. I recently wrote new arrangements of these songs specifically for violin and cello. They were fun to play and,
judging by the comments we received, nice to listen to. I love getting special requests. The challenge is to take a song that’s usually sung with a four to seven piece band and make it work for a instrumental duo. I hope your musicians are doing this for your wedding.
Happy wedding music planning.
