May is a beautiful time to get married at the Danversport Yacht Club.
Stephanie and James held their ceremony beside the gazebo with a large expanse of water and blue sky in the background. Our cello/piano duo enjoyed playing light classical selections during the prelude.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to “Dream” by Priscilla Ahn while Stephanie walked to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Both are such pretty melodies. I rewrote my special arrangements of these tunes for trio and played them at two other summer weddings. The recessional was “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles.
The cocktail hour and dinner reception was held in the club ballroom where we played a mix of old jazz standards and popular songs.
