Dana and Tony’s Wedding

Ellen McDonough is the music director/cantor and was a pleasure to work with. She was excited to sing with a string quartet instead of organ or piano. I think a lot of brides being married in churches are unaware of this possible choice. We’ve accompanied cantors with duos and trios, too.

Dana and Tony decided to have three processionals because of the  size of the bridal party. The grandparents and mothers walked down the  aisle to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”. The groomsmen, bridesmaids, ring bearer and flower girl entered to Bach “Air”. Dana chose Pachelbel “Canon” for her walk down the aisle and “Trumpet Voluntary” for the recessional. Did you know that Trumpet Tune and Trumpet Voluntary are often played without trumpet? They sound great just with strings.
