We love playing for weddings on Cape Cod. Osterville offers two beautiful venues and Ellie and William took advantage of both of them.
Their ceremony was held seaside at the Wianno Club. They had a raised platform built so they stood slightly higher than their guests. The florist created a see-through backdrop of orchids. Each flower was attached separately so the effect was a sea of floating blooms. It was amazing. The chandeliers at the top of the clear-ceiling tent added such elegance.
Our string quartet and trumpet provided the music. The bridal couple chose “Hymne” by Vangelis for the grandparents’ and moms’ processional. Eight bridesmaids entered to “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”. Ellie and her dad walked down the aisle to “March of the Priests”, a personal favorite of theirs.
After the recessional (“La Rejouissance”) our string quartet quickly packed up and drove to Oyster Harbors Club where we played for cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed listening to familiar jazz standards and then moved inside for dinner, where the band took over.
