Mary and Chuck were married by the water at the Wychmere Harbor club.
It’s a lovely venue with an excellent staff. Karen Rood is the club’s event planner and she makes my job easy. It’s very important to have good cues when it’s time to start the processionals. The entire bridal party and bride has to be lined up and ready to start walking before the first note is played. Karen does this with ease.
Mary and Chuck chose Pachelbel Canon, The Gift of Love (The Water Is Wide), Jesu, Joy and Man’s Desiring, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow for processionals. Schubert’s Ave Maria was played after the first reading and Alla Hornpipe from Handel’s Water Music was the recessional. Mary’s mother, Cindy, chose old jazz standards for cocktail hour. Sometimes, moms get to choose music, too.
