The fabulous Four Seasons Hotel was the setting for Corwin and Kathleen’s November wedding.
Sara Kovel, the coordinator, was great to work with. Everything was set up and ready for us in the Governor’s Room when we arrived. It was a smaller wedding so they didn’t need the big ballroom. Elly Jackson, the officiant, performed an intimate and humorous ceremony. This was Kathleen’s second marriage and her two teen-aged children acted as best man and maid of honor.
Prelude music included traditional classical pieces and a popular song by Kenny G called “The Wedding Song”. I wrote an arrangement of the latter since it was actually a guitar piece. It sounded lovely with violin, viola and cello. “Canon in D” and “Alla Luce Del Dio” were the processionals. “Ave Maria” by Bach was played during the unity candle lighting and “Autumn”, from the Four Seasons, was the recessional. We continued to play for the receiving line until everyone moved to the reception area.
