It you haven’t been to the Taj Hotel (formerly the Ritz Carlton) in a while, you should check it out. There are several event rooms to choose from at this hotel. The rooftop has a terrific view of the Public Garden. That’s where Jeanine and Adrian’s cocktail hour was held. The ceremony was in the second floor dining room, which is lovely.
Selected processional pieces for our string quartet were “Hymne” by Vangelis, “Coro” from Handel’s Water Music, and “Canon in D” by Pachelbel. Schubert’s “Ave Maria” was played after the first reading and Bach’s “Arioso” after vows and rings. The recessional was “Beautiful Day” by U2. We stuck with mostly popular songs and old jazz standards during cocktail hour.
