One of the things I like best about playing at Glen Manor House is working with Event Coordinator Katie Wilkinson. She manages to amaze me every time we play a wedding at Glen Manor. There are so many details that go into creating a beautiful wedding and the event coordinator or wedding planner is the person who makes sure it all goes smoothly.
Our musicians always work with a comprehensive rundown in our music books. This list includes not only the selected music but also the order of bridal party entrances. (We count as people enter so we know when to switch to the next piece.) Our notes also include the exact words the officiant will say at the end of the ceremony so we can start playing the recessional just as the newlyweds turn to walk up the aisle.
Katherine and Matt chose two processionals for their Glen Manor House wedding. The bridal party entered to Handel Air while Katherine was escorted down the aisle by her father to Pachelbel Canon in D. The recessional was Handel La Rejouissance.
We played a mix of classical pieces and contemporary popular songs for the cocktail hour.
