Our string trio never gets tired of playing for weddings at the Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod. Maggie and Kris are from Maryland and wanted a beautiful destination location for their intimate celebration.
They were very happy with their choice.
The view is fantastic, rain or shine. Recent renovations have added more seating to the lawn and terrace with cushioned sofas and fire pits which are really nice when the temperature is cool.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to Schubert’s “Ave Maria”. Maggie chose Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” for her entrance. The very upbeat “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” was the recessional. We had fun playing old jazz standards and contemporary popular songs for cocktail hour.
Kris comes from a musical family (her father was a symphony orchestra principal cellist) so there were plenty of suggestions for what to play at the reception. We always come with plenty of music and were happy to be able to accommodate most of the requests.
