Maureen and Joe were married in St. Michaels Church with a full mass.
One of the songs Maureen chose was “On Eagle’s Wings”. A few years ago I arranged this piece for string duo, trio and quartet because I liked it so much. Since they didn’t have a cantor, we played it as an instrumental piece. It’s just as pretty when we accompany singers.
Cocktail hour was at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place. This hotel was built as an atrium with each floor’s balcony open to the foyer. The area outside the ballroom where our string trio played was open to the rest of the hotel. I’m sure Maureen didn’t plan on it but other hotel guests got to listen, too. She was the kind of bride who was happy sharing her day with everyone!
Happy wedding music planning.
