Sara and Chris took a chance on the weather when they planned to hold their May wedding on the beach at the Ocean Edge Resort. Fortunately it turned out to be a beautiful day.
If your wedding is going to be on the beach, be sure to tell your guests (especially the women) so that they can bring flip flops to wear on the sand. I noticed that quite a few guests were wearing heels and had problems walking. Our string duo was prepared with wind clips to keep the music in place.
Faith Lavender officiated and Kimberly Davidson was the Ocean Edge coordinator. Both were great to work with. We played for cocktail hour on the terrace of the clubhouse. The processionals were “Canon in D” and “Trumpet Voluntary”. “Alla Hornpipe” was the recessional. Sara and Chris wanted a mix of classical music, waltzes and old jazz standards for the reception.
