Ross and Miriam met in high school and 15 years later were finally tying the knot.
The Pierce House in Lincoln, MA was the setting for the wedding. It’s a lovely historical site with a large patio that has plenty of space for a tent. Smaller weddings can be held inside the house. The garden was supposed to be the ceremony location but it rained so we were under the tent instead. I thought the tent was lovely with paper lanterns hanging throughout.
Miriam asked for a mix of classical music and Jewish tunes for the prelude. She wanted something “different” for the processionals so we, after some consultation, we played Largo from “Xerxes” by Handel and Hymne by Vangelis. Rabbi Blacker knew both of them very well and was visibly moved while telling the story of their extended courtship. The Recessional was “For Once In My Life”, a different and fun ending to a wedding ceremony.
Happy string duo planning.
