String Duo at Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross

Jill and Jonathan were married at the amazing Cathedral of the Holy Cross. It’s the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and also the largest; the space is huge and awe inspiring.

The wedding ceremony was a full mass with lots of music. Our violin/cello duo performed with music director/organist Leo Abbot. Prelude selections included “Ave Maria”, “Let There Be Peace On Earth”, “There Is Love”, “Immaculate Mary” and “Here I Am Lord”. “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”, “Canon in D” and “Trumpet Tune” were the processionals. “I Have Loved You”, “Panis Angelicus” and “One Bread, One Body” were played during the service. “Trumpet Voluntary” was the recessional.

Our string duo switched to upbeat classical selections during the receiving line. It was great working with planner Alexis O’Mara of Weddings by Alexis.
