String Quartet at Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville, MA

Centerville’s Our Lady of Victory Church on Cape Cod is a lovely church with an excellent music director and cantor. Christina and Mike opted to have three processionals: “Ave Maria” (Schubert) for grandparents and parents, Bach “Air” for eight bridesmaids, five flower girls and three ring bearers, and Pachelbel “Canon” for the bride and her father.

Although we often provide accompaniment for the cantor, the bridal couple decided to have the organist do this. I think they liked the sound of both strings and organ, but not at the same time. We’ve played with organ at many weddings and it’s a great sound, too.

The recessional was the “Wedding March” followed by Alla Hornpipe as guests exited the church. Since it was a beautiful sunny day, the receiving line was held outside.

Allison Liset of Elegant Engagements, helped plan and execute the wedding details. This was a destination wedding, so Allison was the key to the smooth flow of the entire day.
