String Quartet on Cape Cod

Erin and Robert chose to have their wedding ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich.

Erin comes from a religious family so the music was especially important. I worked with Erin and her mother for several months making sure that the songs were meaningful to both families.

The mothers walked to Hail Mary, Gentle Woman. This is usually sung but they preferred to have the string quartet play without the cantor. It was the first time we’d done it this way and it was beautiful. We accompanied Steve Grubiak, the church cantor on the responsorial psalm, offertory, music during the mass, and communion.

The reception was at the boathouse at the Chatham Bars Inn so after the ceremony everyone drove there for cocktail hour. Erin wasn’t specific about music choices so we played a mix of classical, tangos and waltzes. In case you’re not familiar with CBI, the boathouse (not really for boats) is right on the beach so the view of the ocean is fabulous. I’m sure Erin and Robert’s pictures are going to be awesome.
