The Villa, in East Bridgewater, MA, was the site of Julie and Richie’s November wedding. It was our first visit to this recently renovated space and it was lovely. We worked with Angela Aguiar who is the event coordinator. Our quartet was comprised of two violins, cello, and piano/keyboard.
Julie, a former ballet dancer, chose “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John for her processional entrance. This worked beautifully with the piano and strings. “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles was the bridal party processional. The traditional Jewish tune “Simon Tov” was the first recessional followed by “All You Need Is Love”, another Beatles song.
This was a very special wedding since the officiant was Rabbi Adam, Julie’s brother. Our trio played for his wedding 2½ years ago. Of course, one of the flower girls was his two year old daughter! Cocktail hour music was left up to me so we had a great time playing popular songs, old jazz standards and more Beatles tunes.
