May is usually a perfect month for weddings on Cape Cod. Missy and Jay chose to have their ceremony on the lovely Wequassett Resort lawn next to Pleasant Bay.
You can’t find a prettier view!
We were a trio with violin, cello and trumpet for both ceremony and cocktail hour. The processionals were “Trumpet Voluntary” for the bridal party and “Canon in D” for Missy.
We played “Arioso” for the memorial moment to remember Missy’s dad. It’s a good choice when you don’t know how long you’ll need the music to last. We can easily adapt it to fit unity candle lightings, sand mixings, etc.
“Trumpet Tune and March” was the recessional. It’s a great, upbeat ending to the ceremony. And we had a lot of fun playing old jazz standards and popular songs during cocktail hour.
