In a previous blog post, I told you about a wedding our duo played at Willowdale Estate in Bradley State Park, Topsfield, MA.
That was in August when the flowers surrounding the ceremony patio were in full bloom. I knew I’d be back in October and was curious to see what the flowers would look like in the fall. Well, I wasn’t disappointed. There were plenty of colorful fall blooms that created a beautiful setting for Jess and Seth’s ceremony.
I was looking forward to this wedding for another reason as well. Jess chose “La Vie En Rose” for her entrance. It’s the song made famous by Edith Piaf and was featured in the movie of the same name. We played “When You’re Smiling” after the second reading, which got a few smiles from the guests. The recessional was “Friday I’m In Love” and quite appropriate since it was a Friday wedding. I had a lot of fun with this one.
